Fuzzy skin thickness
In Bambu Studio, the profile 0.20mm Standard @BBL A1 sets it to0.3 mm
How far the nozzle strays to each side of the path, that is, how deep the texture is. Keep it below the line width or you'll get gaps.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Fuzzy Skin” is not “None(allow paint)”. See Fuzzy Skin.
How it works
It's the size of the jitter: with 0.3 mm, the nozzle moves up to 0.3 mm to one side and the other. More thickness gives stronger relief, but the part grows by that amount on each side and the dimensions no longer match.
If it goes over the outer wall line width (0.42 mm), the bead leaves gaps, overhanging bits droop, and the Extrusion and Combined modes stop working.
When to change it
- A planter with a strong texture: 0.3 mm (default).
- A box with a fitted lid, or a softer texture: 0.15–0.2 mm.
- With a 0.4 mm nozzle, never above 0.4 mm.

Watch out for
- The texture isn't applied to tops or bottoms: only the walls grow.
- Only shows up with fuzzy skin turned on.
