Skeleton infill pattern
In Bambu Studio, the profile 0.20mm Standard @BBL A1 sets it toZig Zag
With the “Locked Zag” pattern: the infill pattern in the skeleton, the central zone away from the walls.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Sparse infill pattern” is “Locked Zag”. See Sparse infill pattern.
How it works
The skeleton is what's left of the inside once the skin is taken away. Since it's far from the walls, it can almost always use a lighter, faster pattern: “Zig Zag” (the default) is the fastest of all.
It interlocks with the skin in the overlap band set by “Infill lock depth”.
When to change it
- Almost any part: leave “Zig Zag”.
- A small stool, a door stop or a part that gets squashed in the middle: “Grid” or “Cubic”.
- A part that takes force from any side, like a ball or a knob: “Gyroid”.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| Zig Zag | Default; the fastestdefault |
| Grid | Stiffer |
| Gyroid | Even in every direction |
Watch out for
- It only shows up with the “Locked Zag” infill pattern.
