Only one wall on top surfaces
In Bambu Studio, the profile 0.20mm Standard @BBL A1 sets it toTop surfaces
On flat top faces it uses a single wall instead of the usual ones, so the surface pattern covers more area and the top looks more even.
How it works
With 2 walls, you see a double ring of lines around each top and then the surface pattern. With a single wall, the ring is thinner and the pattern reaches almost to the edge: the top looks like one piece.
“Top surfaces” (the default) applies it to every flat face that points up, including the in-between steps. “Topmost surface” applies it only to the highest face of the part. “Not apply” keeps the normal walls everywhere.
When to change it
- A box, a lid or a sign: leave it on “Top surfaces”, which works for almost everything.
- A stepped part, like a base with narrow steps that come out weak with a single wall: “Topmost surface”, or raise “Top area threshold”.
- A lid you're going to sand, or a part whose top edge takes bumps or load: “Not apply”.

Watch out for
- A single wall leaves a weaker edge, especially if there are threads or screws near the edge of the top.
- On sloped or domed surfaces it makes the stair-step effect worse, so it's not a good fit for those shapes.
- Turning it on reveals “Top area threshold”, which lets you leave out narrow surfaces.
