Maximum length of sparse infill anchor
In Bambu Studio, the profile 0.20mm Standard @BBL A1 sets it to20, false
The hard limit, in millimeters, for infill anchors. At 0 nothing is anchored and every line ends loose.
How it works
Anchors join neighboring infill lines with a short segment that hugs the wall. “Length of sparse infill anchor” says how long that segment can be, as a percentage. This setting adds a limit in millimeters that's never exceeded, and it also turns anchors on or off: at 0, they're gone.
At 20 mm (the default), the limit almost never kicks in: regular anchors are a couple of millimeters long.
When to change it
- The usual: leave it at 20.
- A large decorative figure with very low infill, where you want the fastest infill possible and don't mind it gripping the wall less: 0.
- A part where long anchors leave marks on thin walls: 5, for short anchors.

Watch out for
- At 0, the “Length of sparse infill anchor” setting disappears too.
- Without anchors, the infill holds on to the wall less well, especially at low densities.
What Bambu Studio says
Connect a sparse infill line to an internal perimeter with a short segment of an additional perimeter. If expressed as percentage (example: 15%) it is calculated over sparse infill line width. Slicer tries to connect two close infill lines to a short perimeter segment. If no such perimeter segment shorter than this parameter is found, the infill line is connected to a perimeter segment at just one side and the length of the perimeter segment taken is limited to infill_anchor, but no longer than this parameter. Set this parameter to zero to disable anchoring.
