Also smooth out, sideways, the step from one turn of the spiral to the next, so vases with irregular shapes show no mark at all.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Spiral vase” is on. See Spiral vase.
How it works
The spiral climbs continuously, but on shapes that aren't round there's a small sideways step where each turn joins the next. With this option, the slicer turns that join into an arc and the step disappears.
The arc strays a little from the original path, so on vases with sharp edges it can leave a small bump. It works best on shapes with gentle curves.
When to change it
- An oval or wavy-sided vase where a vertical line shows: turn it on.
- A faceted vase with sharp edges: try it, but it may make things worse.
