Auxiliary fan speed
How fast the auxiliary fan blows during the print, after the first layers. Many printers, like the A1, don't have that fan.
How it works
Some printers (several Bambu Lab ones among them) have an auxiliary fan that blows on the part from the side, in addition to the fan on the print head. These settings control it the same way as the part cooling fan: some initial layers with their own speed, an optional ramp and a speed for the rest.
The A1 has no auxiliary fan (its machine profile says so). The slicer shows these settings anyway, but without that fan they do nothing.
When to change it
- If your printer has no auxiliary fan (like the A1): don't touch it.
- With a printer that has one: high for PLA (PLA Basic: 70%); low or off for ABS or ASA, because cold air cracks them.

Watch out for
- Don't confuse it with the part cooling fan (the one on the print head), set further up in this same tab.
