Wall distribution count
With Arachne: how many walls, counting from the middle of the area outward, are allowed to change width to fill the space. At 1, only the innermost one changes and the outer ones stay as they are.
How it works
When the thickness of an area isn't an exact multiple of the line width, some wall has to absorb the difference. At 1, only the middle wall does it and the outer wall keeps its width: the visible surface stays even.
At 3, the difference is spread over three walls. Each one changes less, but the outer wall can change too.
When to change it
- Almost always, leave it at 1: the outer wall, the one you see, stays constant. For example, on a figurine or a box with a nice finish.
- A bracket with 4 or more walls where, in the preview, the middle wall comes out with widths that jump around a lot: raise it to 2 or 3.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 1 | Default; only the middle wall changesdefault |
| 3 | Spreads the change over three walls |
Watch out for
- A value higher than the number of walls adds nothing.
- It only does anything with the Arachne wall generator.

What Bambu Studio says
The number of walls, counted from the center, over which the variation needs to be spread. Lower values mean that the outer walls don't change in width
