Extra rib length
Makes the prime tower's ribs longer or shorter than what the slicer calculates. Longer, the tower is sturdier, but it takes up more of the plate.
How it works
The slicer calculates a rib size from the tower's height, and this number is added to it: positive makes them longer, negative makes them shorter.
It can't go below the minimum set by the amount of filament that has to be purged.
When to change it
- For almost anything: 0, the default.
- A tall multicolor figure whose tower wobbles: +5 to +10 mm.
- A plate full of two-color keychains, with a short tower: −5 mm.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 0 | Defaultdefault |
| +5 to +10 mm | Sturdier |
| −5 mm | Less plate space |
Watch out for
- It only exists with “Rib wall” turned on.
