Interlocking distance from the outside
How many cells next to the outer surface are left without beams, so the teeth can't be seen from outside.
How it works
If the beams went all the way to the outer wall, the border between colors would look jagged. Leaving the cells closest to the outside free (2 by default) keeps the joint hidden inside, and the face of the part shows a clean border.
With 0, the teeth reach the surface.
When to change it
- For almost everything: 2 (default).
- A part with very thick walls whose joint still fails: 1.
- A decorative part where you want the teeth to show, like a zigzag between two colors: 0.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 2 | Defaultdefault |
| 1 | More bonding near the wall |
| 0 | Visible teeth |
Watch out for
- Only works with “Use beam interlocking” turned on.
