Required nozzle HRC
The minimum hardness (HRC) the nozzle must have for this filament. At 0, the program doesn't check.
How it works
Carbon or glass fiber filaments are abrasive: they wear out a normal nozzle quickly. That's why their profiles ask for a high hardness, which only hardened steel nozzles have. Bambu Studio compares this number with the configured nozzle and warns if it falls short.
Hardness is measured on the Rockwell C scale (HRC).
When to change it
- Don't touch it: each filament's profile sets it.
- If the program warns when printing a fiber-filled filament, switch to a hardened nozzle instead of lowering this number.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 3 | PLA Basicdefault |
| 0 | Not checked |
Watch out for
- Lowering the number so the warning goes away doesn't protect the nozzle: it wears out anyway.
