Adaptive volumetric speed
With this on, the plastic-per-second cap adapts to each line by its width and the layer height, never exceeding the maximum.
How it works
Without this option, every line uses the same cap: the “Max volumetric speed”. With it on, the program also works out a cap for each line from its width and the layer height, using a curve Bambu measured for that filament, and uses the lower of the two.
When to change it
- PLA Basic: off.
- It only has an effect if the profile includes that measured curve; in the tab it's grayed out when it doesn't.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| Off | PLA Basicdefault |
Watch out for
- It doesn't replace the volumetric speed test: the maximum still rules.

What Bambu Studio says
When enabled, the extrusion flow is limited by the smaller of the fitted value (calculated from line width and layer height) and the user-defined maximum flow. When disabled, only the user-defined maximum flow is applied.
