Prime tower brim width
A flat brim around the base of the prime tower so it doesn't come loose or tip over. At −1, the slicer works it out from the tower's height.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Enable” is on. See Enable.
How it works
The tower is tall and narrow, and the nozzle brushes it at every change: a brim on its first layer anchors it to the plate.
With a negative number, the slicer picks the width based on how tall the tower will be.
When to change it
- For almost anything: 3 mm, the default.
- A tall multicolor figure whose tower comes loose halfway through the print: 5 mm, or −1 to let the slicer work it out.
- A plate so full the tower barely fits: 1–2 mm.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 3 mm | Defaultdefault |
| −1 | Auto, based on height |
| 5 mm | Tall towers |
Watch out for
- It only shows up with the prime tower turned on.
