Max sideways (XY) smoothing
How far sideways the smoothing arc may stray from the original path, as a percentage of the nozzle diameter. 200% with a 0.4 mm nozzle is 0.8 mm.
How it works
Smooth spiral replaces the join between turns with an arc. This number limits how far that arc may move away from the part's real path.
With more room, it smooths better but distorts the part more; with less room, it respects the shape but may not erase the step.
When to change it
- To start: 200% (default).
- An oval vase where the join between turns looks distorted or bulging: 100%.
- The vertical line still shows: 300%.

Watch out for
- Only shows up with “Smooth Spiral” turned on.
- You can also enter it in mm instead of %.
