Wipe speed by line type
Makes the wipe run at the same speed as the line that was just printed, instead of a percentage of travel speed.
How it works
If the nozzle just printed a slow outer wall, the wipe goes slowly; if it just did fast infill, it goes fast. That way the wipe doesn't suddenly change pace and leaves less of a mark on visible surfaces.
It comes turned on from the factory.
When to change it
- Almost always: leave it on.
- A figure with a slow outer wall so it looks good: with this option on, the wipe also goes slowly over the visible face.
- You want to set the wipe speed yourself, for example to test whether some strings go away: turn it off and adjust “Wipe speed”.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|

What Bambu Studio says
The wipe speed is determined by speed of current extrusion role. e.g if a wipe action is executed immediately following an outer wall extrusion, the speed of the outer wall extrusion will be utilized for the wipe action.
