Precise Z height
Adjusts the last few layers so the part measures exactly what the model says, even if its height isn't a multiple of the layer height.
How it works
The printer can only stack whole layers. If the part is 2 mm tall and the layer is 0.28 mm, the layers don't add up evenly: a 0.2 mm first layer plus 6 layers of 0.28 makes 1.88 mm, and a seventh doesn't fit. The part comes out 0.12 mm short.
With this option, the slicer spreads the difference over the last five layers, making them slightly taller, and the part ends at 2.00 mm.
When to change it
- A 2 mm spacer or shim that has to measure exactly that: turn it on.
- A 5 mm tall lid printed with 0.28 mm layers, which don't add up evenly: turn it on so it doesn't come out short.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| No | Normal rounding (default)default |
| Yes | Last layers adjusted to hit the height |
Watch out for
- It doesn't work on parts with fewer than 6 layers.
- If hitting the height would require layers outside the range the nozzle allows, it turns itself off.
- Without this option, the rule is: if the model's height goes past the middle of the last possible layer, that layer is printed; if not, it's dropped.
- It's an experimental feature.

What Bambu Studio says
Enable this to get precise z height of object after slicing. It will get the precise object height by fine-tuning the layer heights of the last few layers. Note that this is an experimental parameter.
