Overhang speed, 10 to 25%
How fast wall lines go when they hang out between 10 and 25% of their width. At 0 they aren't slowed down: they hang so little that it isn't needed.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Slow down for overhang” is on. See Slow down for overhang.
How it works
This is the first range of “Slow down for overhang”: lines that barely stick out past the layer below. Bambu leaves it at 0 (no slowdown) because, with less than a quarter of the bead of plastic in the air, it holds up without trouble.
When to change it
- The usual choice: leave it at 0.
- A vase in silk PLA or a part in shiny PETG, with visible sloped faces that come out a bit rough: try 100 mm/s.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 0 | Default; no slowdowndefault |
| 100 | Gentle slowdown for fussy filaments |
Watch out for
- It only shows up if “Slow down for overhang” is turned on.
- 0 means “no slowdown”, not “stop”.
