Precise wall
Adjusts the spacing between the outer and inner walls so the outer one lands exactly on the model's edge. Truer outer dimensions and more even layers.
How it works
Normally, the slicer overlaps the outer wall slightly with the inner one so they fuse well. That extra plastic has nowhere to go and pushes the outer wall a few hundredths of a millimeter outward: the part comes out just a bit larger and with small differences between layers.
With “Precise wall”, the wall spacing is calculated so the outer wall falls right on the model's edge, and the overlap is shifted inward.
When to change it
- A lid or an insert that has to fit on the outside and always comes out slightly large: turn it on.
- A part whose surface shows slightly uneven layers: give it a try.
