Bed on the SuperTack plate

The bed temperature for every layer except the first when you use the Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack. 0 means the filament doesn't support that plate.

How it works

Each plate has its own row of temperatures, and the program uses the one for the plate you pick in Prepare. That's why it pays to pick the one actually on the printer: the same filament can need 35 °C on one plate and 65 °C on another.

It's a very sticky cool plate: parts grip at low temperature. After the first layer the bed can stay the same or go a bit cooler: less grip is needed, and less heat keeps the base from softening.

When to change it

  • The corners lift even though the plate is clean: raise it 5 °C.
  • The base comes out widened (“elephant's foot”) or the part is very hard to remove: lower it 5 °C.

Watch out for

  • Clean the plate before raising the temperature: finger grease unsticks more than a few degrees too few.
  • Hotter doesn't always stick better: past a certain point the base softens and deforms.
