Fan on the first layers

The part cooling fan speed during those first layers. At 0 it's off, so the first layer grips better.

How it works

It goes with “For the first”: that number says how many layers, this one says how fast. At 0 (default), the fan is off while the base prints.

If there's a ramp, the fan starts from this value and rises to the normal speed.

When to change it

  • For almost everything: 0.
  • Only if a base with fine details (small raised lettering, for example) comes out deformed by heat: try 20–30%.

Watch out for

  • With the fan on during the first layer, the part grips less and the corners lift sooner.
