Maximum recommended temperature
The top of the filament's temperature range. If you set the nozzle hotter, Bambu Studio warns you.
How it works
Together with the minimum, it marks the range the maker considers safe. Hotter than that, the plastic degrades: it changes color, smells burnt and leaves residue that can block the nozzle.
The range is only for the warning: it doesn't change the temperature it prints at.
When to change it
- A label that gives another maximum: copy it here.
- Otherwise leave it: in PLA Basic it's 240 °C.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 240 °C | PLA Basicdefault |
| 260 °C | PETG (base profile) |
| 280 °C | ABS and ASA (base profile) |
Watch out for
- If the minimum ends up above the maximum, the range makes no sense and the warning stops being useful.
