Tower priming on hotend change
The same as priming on a filament change, but for printers that swap hotends mid-print. On printers with a single hotend, like the A1, it does nothing.
How it works
Some Bambu Lab printers swap hotends during a print (in the program's code, the H2C). The incoming hotend needs more priming than a plain filament change; this value is how much it prints on the tower.
Bambu Studio shows it in the tab even if your printer doesn't use it.
When to change it
- With a single hotend (like the A1): never; leave it as it is.
Typical values
| Value | What for |

Watch out for
- If your printer does swap hotends, raise it when you see the previous color in the part right after the swap.

Using another slicer? Look for the idea, not the name: in Orca Slicer almost everything has the same name; in PrusaSlicer or Cura it may be called something else, or not exist.
