Fuzzy skin feature size
With Perlin, Billow, ridged and Voronoi noise: the base size of the texture's shapes, in millimeters. The bigger it is, the larger the waves and bumps.
How it works
Coherent noises draw shapes (waves, bumps, cells). This number is the typical size of those shapes: with 1 mm you get bumps about a millimeter across; with 5 mm, large undulations.
When to change it
- To start with any noise other than Classic: 1 mm (default).
- A small figure with a visible but fine grain: 0.5 mm.
- A log- or rock-style vase with large undulations: 3–5 mm.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 1 mm | Defaultdefault |
| 0.5 mm | Fine |
| 3–5 mm | Large shapes |
Watch out for
- Has no effect with Classic noise, which doesn't form shapes.
