Acceleration at starting height
The acceleration cap (how abruptly the print head starts and stops) when the height slowdown begins. At 100,000 mm/s² (the factory value) it limits nothing.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Slow down by height” is on. See Slow down by height.
How it works
The jolts that make a tall part wobble come from acceleration, not speed: it's at every change of direction that the print head pushes the part. This cap ramps down from the starting height to the ending height, just like the speed.
When to change it
- A tower or a tall figure: set the normal acceleration here (6000 mm/s²) and a much lower one at the ending height (1000–2000 mm/s²).
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 100000 | Default; no limitdefault |
| 6000 | The A1's normal acceleration |
Watch out for
- It only shows up with “Slow down by height” turned on.

Using another slicer? Look for the idea, not the name: in Orca Slicer almost everything has the same name; in PrusaSlicer or Cura it may be called something else, or not exist.
