Perimeter transition distance
Over the last millimeters of a wall slowed to cool, the speed eases back to normal before moving on to the outer wall.
How it works
With “Consistent surface”, inner walls slow down and the outer one doesn't. The jump from one to the other can leave a mark; this distance makes the speed rise gradually at the end of the slowed section.
When to change it
- Recommended: 5–10 mm.
- 0 turns the transition off.

What Bambu Studio says
Distance in millimeters before the end of slowed perimeters where the original print speed is gradually restored. This reduces quality issues when transitioning from slowed features to fast external perimeter printing. Only applies when 'Consistent surface' cooling logic is selected. Recommended value: 5-10mm. Set to 0 to disable.
