Prime tower infill gap
How far apart the lines of the prime tower's infill are, as a percentage of one line's width. At 100% they touch; at 150% there's half a line's width of gap between them.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Enable” is on. See Enable.
How it works
The tower's infill is back-and-forth lines. If they touch, a filament that swells or piles up (PETG, fiber-filled materials) forms bumps; with a gap between lines, that excess has somewhere to go.
It's the distance between the centers of two lines: 150% is 1.5 line widths, which means half a line's width of gap.
When to change it
- For almost anything: 150%, the default.
- A two-color PETG keychain whose tower comes out bumpy or gets brushed by the print head: 180–200%.
- A tall multicolor PLA figure, where you want a solid, sturdy tower: 100–120%.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 150% | Defaultdefault |
| 180–200% | Filaments that pile up |
| 100% | Solid tower |
Watch out for
- With ramming turned on (the push of filament before each change), that zone of the tower doesn't go below 200%.
- It only shows up with the prime tower turned on.
