Ironing fan speed
The fan speed while the nozzle irons the top surface. At −1, it follows the rest of the layer.
How it works
Very little plastic comes out, very slowly, while ironing. With a lot of air, that little plastic cools inside the nozzle and can clog it. Lowering the fan while ironing helps it flow evenly and leaves a smoother surface.
When to change it
- Almost always: −1, as it comes.
- Ironing that comes out streaky or a nozzle that clogs while ironing: try a lower value than usual, like 30%.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| −1 | Default: the layer'sdefault |
| 30% | Troublesome ironing |
Watch out for
- It only matters if ironing is on (Process tab).

What Bambu Studio says
This part cooling fan speed is applied when ironing. Setting this parameter to a lower than regular speed reduces possible nozzle clogging due to the low volumetric flow rate, making the interface smoother. Set to -1 to disable it.
