X-Y contour compensation
Makes the outer edge of the part bigger or smaller without touching the holes. It helps one part fit inside another or measure what it should.
How it works
It's the twin of “X-Y hole compensation”, but for the outside edge. A positive value fattens the part and a negative one slims it down. Since it's applied all around the edge, the overall size changes by twice the value.
Example from the Bambu wiki: a disc designed at 55 mm measured 54.77 mm; (55 − 54.77) / 2 = 0.115 mm of compensation.
When to change it
- A lid that won't go into its box, or an adapter for the center of a spool that's too tight: lower it to -0.05 or -0.1 mm until it fits without play.
- A part that always measures less than the design, like a 55 mm disc that comes out at 54.8: a small positive value, for example 0.1 mm.

What Bambu Studio says
Contour of object will be grown or shrunk in XY plane by the configured value. Positive value makes contour bigger. Negative value makes contour smaller. This function is used to adjust size slightly when the object has assembling issue
