Tree branch diameter angle
How much the tree support's branches thicken on the way down. At 0 they're the same thickness from top to bottom; a few degrees turns them into more stable trunks.
How it works
A branch that thickens toward the base spreads its weight better and tips over less, like a real tree. This angle sets how much it widens as it goes down.
At 5° (the default), the thickening barely shows on short branches and gives solid trunks on tall ones. At 10–15°, trunks get wide and use quite a bit more plastic.
When to change it
- For almost anything: 5°, the default.
- A 20 cm figure whose support trees wobble: 8–10°.
- A small miniature with short branches: 0–2°, to save plastic.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 5° | Defaultdefault |
| 8–10° | Tall trees |
| 0–2° | Short branches, saves plastic |
Watch out for
- It only exists for tree supports.
- Wide trunks at the base take up room on the plate and can bump into other parts.

What Bambu Studio says
The angle of the branches' diameter as they gradually become thicker towards the bottom. An angle of 0 will cause the branches to have uniform thickness over their length. A bit of an angle can increase stability of the tree support.
