Detect thin wall
With the classic generator, it prints areas where two lines don't fit using a single line. It saves text and thin ribs, at the cost of some fragile walls.
How it works
The classic generator needs two lines to draw a wall (there and back). Anything thinner than that, about 0.84 mm with a 0.4 mm nozzle, disappears when slicing. With this option, the program squeezes the spacing between walls a little so one line fits, and draws those areas with a single line.
That line isn't a closed loop: on a rib it's a loose stroke. And since the spacing has been squeezed, in some areas the lines overlap and there's too much plastic.
When to change it
- A keychain with small raised text, or a grille with thin ribs that are missing in the preview, if you don't want to switch to Arachne: turn it on.
- A normal part with no thin areas, like a box or a bracket: leave it off; it can only make the surface worse.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| Off | Defaultdefault |
| On | Saves fine details with a single line |
Watch out for
- Where the lines overlap, the extra plastic sticks to the nozzle and ends up dropping somewhere else on the part.
- Some very small areas end up as a stroke separate from the rest of the wall: fragile and easy to break.
- It can only be used with the “Classic” generator: with Arachne the option is grayed out, because Arachne solves the same problem without overlapping lines or loose strokes. For parts with lots of detail, Arachne is usually the better choice.

Detect thin wall which can't contain two line width. And use single line to print. Maybe printed not very well, because it's not closed loop
