Min print speed when slowing down
The slowest the printer can go when it slows down so a short layer can cool.
How it works
For a tiny layer to last the minimum time, the printer may have to go very slowly. This value sets a floor: it never goes slower than this, even if the layer finishes early.
When to change it
- PLA: 20 mm/s, as it comes.
- Very fine tips that still come out soft: print two parts at once instead of lowering this a lot.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 20 mm/s | PLA Basicdefault |
| 10 mm/s | Program default |
Watch out for
- Too low, and the hot nozzle lingers over the same spot and can melt it anyway.
