Small perimeter threshold
Up to what size an outline counts as “small” and gets printed at the “Small perimeters” speed. Raising it slows down more outlines; at 0, the slicer decides on its own.
How it works
The outline's radius is compared with this value: if it's equal or smaller, it runs at the small perimeter speed. At 6 mm, a hole up to 12 mm across counts as small.
At 0 (the factory value) an automatic rule is used that covers holes a few millimeters across.
When to change it
- A lid with medium holes (8–15 mm) for magnets or cables that come out oval: raise it to 6 or 8 mm.
- The usual choice: leave it at 0.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 0 | Default; automaticdefault |
| 4 | Holes up to 8 mm |
| 8 | Holes up to 16 mm |
Watch out for
- A large threshold turns many outlines into “small” ones and lengthens the print.
