Smooth coefficient
How long the ramp is that smooths out a speed change. The smaller the number, the longer and smoother the ramp; at 0 there's no ramp.
How it works
When “Smooth speed discontinuity area” is on, the speed doesn't jump all at once but changes over a stretch. This coefficient controls how long that stretch is, and it works the opposite of what you'd expect: a lower number gives a longer change.
Bambu recommends staying between 1 and 200. At 80 (the default) the ramp is short, but enough to keep the mark from showing.
When to change it
- A bust that still shows a stripe right where the chin starts to stick out: lower it to 30 or 40.
- A part with lots of small parts sticking out, like a tower with battlements, where the ramps stretch the slow sections too much: raise it to 120.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 30 | Long, very smooth ramp |
| 80 | Defaultdefault |
| 150 | Short ramp |
| 0 | No smoothing |
Watch out for
- It does nothing if “Smooth speed discontinuity area” is turned off.

Using another slicer? Look for the idea, not the name: in Orca Slicer almost everything has the same name; in PrusaSlicer or Cura it may be called something else, or not exist.
