Solid infill filament
Which filament prints the inner solid layers (the ones under the top layers and above the bottom layers). “Default” uses the filament assigned to the object.
How it works
Solid infill is made of solid layers that close off the part from the inside; they aren't visible either. You can print them with another filament, just like the sparse infill.
Every affected layer adds a filament change.
When to change it
- Almost always: Default.
- A test part to learn how it's built inside, with each kind of infill in its own color: give it another filament.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| Default | Defaultdefault |
| Another filament | Special cases |
Watch out for
- If the other color contrasts a lot, it can show through thin top layers.
