Sparse infill acceleration
How hard the print head speeds up and brakes on the inside infill, as a percentage of the normal acceleration. Since infill isn't visible, it can go as fast as normal, or faster.
How it works
At 100% (the default), the infill uses the normal acceleration: 6000 mm/s². You can lower it if the infill's jolts show on the walls, or raise it for prototypes.
It also accepts a fixed value in mm/s² instead of a percentage.
When to change it
- Most parts: leave 100%.
- A planter or a thin-walled cube where the infill's “ribs” show through on the outside face: 60%.
- A large, solid prototype where only time matters: 150%.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 60% | Gentler infill |
| 100% | Defaultdefault |
| 150% | Prototypes |
Watch out for
- The printer won't go past its own maximum, even if you set more.
