Beam direction
The angle of the interlocking beams relative to the edges of the plate. Changing it keeps them from running parallel to the border between materials.
How it works
The beams are generated on a grid rotated by this angle. If the border between materials runs parallel to the beams, they barely cross it; rotating them 22.5° (default) makes them cross most borders.
You rarely need to touch it.
When to change it
- Almost always: 22.5° (default).
- A part whose border between materials runs exactly at 22.5°: switch to 0° or 45°.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 22.5° | Default; crosses almost every borderdefault |
| 45° | Straight borders, parallel to the plate edges |
| 0° | Diagonal borders |
Watch out for
- Only works with “Use beam interlocking” turned on.
