Detect narrow internal solid infill
In very narrow solid areas, instead of short lines going back and forth, it prints rings that follow the outline. Faster and cleaner.
How it works
Regular internal solid infill runs in parallel lines. In a narrow strip that turns into dozens of two-millimeter lines with a turn at each end: slow, with lots of starts and stops. With this option the slicer spots those strips and fills them by following their outline, with rings that go around them in one pass.
It only affects internal solid infill, the part you can't see. It comes turned on from the factory.
When to change it
- Almost always: leave it on. On parts with narrow solid strips, like a picture frame or the arms of a bracket, it saves time without showing on the outside.
- Turn it off only if, on a specific part, the rings leave a tiny gap in the middle of the strip and you'd rather have lines.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| Yes | Default; rings in narrow areasdefault |
| No | Always parallel lines |
Watch out for
- It changes nothing on visible surfaces; if you see rings on a top surface, that's decided by “Top surface pattern”, not this option.

What Bambu Studio says
This option will auto detect narrow internal solid infill area. If enabled, concentric pattern will be used for the area to speed printing up. Otherwise, rectilinear pattern is used defaultly.
