Rib width
How thick the prime tower's four ribs are. Wider, they brace it more, but leave less contact between the wall and the infill.
How it works
Each rib is a diagonal stretch of wall at a corner. Its width adds stiffness, but the wider it is, the less contact there is between the outer wall and the inner infill, which is what holds the tower together.
The slicer keeps it under half the length of the tower's side.
When to change it
- For almost anything: 8 mm, the default.
- A tall multicolor figure whose tower shakes: 10–12 mm.
- A small tower, like the one for a two-color keychain: 5–6 mm.
