Density
How much each cubic centimeter of filament weighs. The program uses it to show the weight of each print; it doesn't change how it prints.
How it works
When slicing, the program knows the volume of plastic in the part. Density turns it into grams: the weight you see in the summary and the one used to estimate cost.
When to change it
- A filament from another brand: copy the density from its data sheet so the estimated weight is real.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 1.26 g/cm³ | PLA Basicdefault |
Watch out for
- It's only for statistics: a wrong value doesn't ruin the part, only the weight the program shows.
