Bottom interface spacing
The distance between the lines of the layer a normal support uses to rest on the part. At 0 it's solid: it rests better, but it sticks more.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting disappears when “Enable support” is on and “Type” is “tree(auto)” or “tree(manual)”. See Enable support, Type.
How it works
It's the same setting as “Top interface spacing”, but for the bottom layer: the one a normal support prints when it starts on top of a face of the part.
At 0.5 mm, the layer grips just enough and peels off without leaving marks; at 0, it rests better, but sticks more to that face.
When to change it
- For almost anything: 0.5 mm, the default.
- A figure with an arm over its knee, where the support starts on top of the leg and falls over: 0.3 mm or 0.
- The support starts on a face that shows and leaves marks on it: 0.7 mm.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 0.5 mm | Defaultdefault |
| 0 | Firm base, leaves more marks |
| 0.7 mm | Fewer marks |
Watch out for
- It only exists for normal supports; it's hidden if you choose tree supports.
