Lattice angle 1
With the “2D Lattice” pattern: how far the first set of bars tilts from vertical. 0° is vertical, and the sign decides which way they lean.
How it works
2D lattice is an infill made of slanted bars that cross each other, like a garden trellis standing upright. There are two sets of bars, each with its own angle: at -45° and +45° (the defaults) they cross in an X and form a stiff, lightweight structure.
If you bring the angle closer to 0°, the bars stand almost vertical, like columns. If you move it further away, they lie down, and each layer sticks out further over the one below, so they start to droop as they print.
When to change it
- The usual: -45°.
- A small stool, a pedestal or a bracket that takes weight from above: bring it to -30° (and angle 2 to +30°).
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| -45 | Defaultdefault |
| -30 | More upright bars |
| -60 | Flatter bars |
Watch out for
- Beyond ±60°, the bars droop too much and come out ugly or broken.
- It only shows up with the “2D Lattice” pattern.
