Support ironing line spacing
The distance between ironing passes over the support interface. Closer together is smoother and slower; if they're spaced wider than the nozzle covers, strips are left unironed.
How it works
The nozzle tip irons a strip about 0.4 mm wide on each pass. With 0.15 mm between passes, every spot gets two or three and the surface comes out even; at 0.4 mm or more, each area is ironed only once and the striping shows.
It's the same as the top surface “Ironing line spacing”, applied to the top face of the support.
When to change it
- Most parts: the default 0.15 mm.
- A large interface where time matters more than finish (under a cosplay helmet): 0.25–0.30 mm.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 0.15 mm | Defaultdefault |
| 0.10 mm | Smoothest, lots of time |
| 0.30 mm | Fast |
Watch out for
- It only shows up with support interface ironing turned on.
- Don't confuse it with “Top interface spacing”, which is the gap between the lines of the interface itself (it has to be 0 for ironing to work).
