Reverse layers

With conformal infill: how many layers in a row run the zigzag backwards, starting from the opposite edge. At 0 it never reverses.

Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Sparse infill pattern” is “Zig Zag” or “Cross Zag” or “Locked Zag” or “Rectilinear” or “Aligned Rectilinear” and “Conformal infill” is on. See Sparse infill pattern, Conformal infill.

How it works

After the “Forward layers”, these are printed with the zigzag reversed, and the cycle repeats. With 1 and 1 it alternates every layer; with 2 and 2, every two.

Reversing spreads the zigzag joints across layers and keeps them from all lining up vertically.

When to change it

  • A long handle or clip that splits between layers when you squeeze it: 1, to alternate the direction and bond the layers better.
  • Everything else: 0.
