Infill rotate step
With “Zig Zag”: rotates the pattern a few degrees on each layer, to create a crisscross or spiral texture.
Not always visible. In Bambu Studio this setting only shows up when “Sparse infill pattern” is “Zig Zag”. See Sparse infill pattern.
How it works
Regular “Zig Zag” is always printed at the same angle. With a rotation per layer, each layer ends up slightly turned from the one below, and together the infill forms a crosshatched weave. With large rotations, it turns into a spiral.
When to change it
- The usual: 0.
- A vase or a lamp in translucent filament where the infill shows through the wall: 5–15°, for a soft crosshatch.
- A decorative part where you want the infill to draw a bold spiral: 45°.
Typical values

| 10 | Soft crosshatch texture |

Watch out for
- It only shows up with the “Zig Zag” pattern.
