Infill line width
How wide the lines of the inner infill are. Wider gives stronger, faster infill; thinner gives lighter infill.
How it works
Infill is hidden, so efficiency is what counts here: a wide line (0.45 mm in Bambu profiles) lays down more plastic per pass and finishes sooner.
The density stays the same: if you widen the line, the slicer spaces the passes further apart so the infill percentage doesn't change.
When to change it
- A hook or a bracket that will carry weight: raise it to 0.5 or 0.6 mm; the infill “ribs” come out thicker without raising “Sparse infill density”.
- A small, detailed part like a miniature: leave it or lower it a little so the infill doesn't show through thin walls.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 0.42 | Same as the walls |
| 0.45 | Standarddefault |
| 0.60 | More solid infill |
Watch out for
- With wide infill, the top layers have to cover bigger gaps between lines: you may need one more layer in “Top shell layers”.
- Keep an eye on “Max volumetric speed”: wide, fast infill is where it's easiest to ask for more plastic than the nozzle can melt.
