Minimum recommended temperature
The bottom of the filament's temperature range. If you set the nozzle cooler, Bambu Studio warns you.
How it works
The range (minimum and maximum) doesn't change how it prints: it's the maker's reference. Bambu Studio compares it with the nozzle temperature and, if it falls outside, warns that the nozzle may clog.
The warning doesn't stop you printing: it just asks you to confirm.
When to change it
- A filament from another brand with a different range on the label: put the label's minimum here, so the warning is useful.
- Otherwise leave it: in PLA Basic it's 190 °C.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 190 °C | PLA Basicdefault |
| 220 °C | PETG (base profile) |
| 240 °C | ABS and ASA (base profile) |
Watch out for
- Lowering the minimum so the warning goes away fixes nothing: a nozzle that's too cool leaves the plastic unmelted and clogs anyway.
