Wall transition angle
With Arachne: in areas that narrow into a wedge, up to what angle the center gets filled with extra walls. Higher fills more tips; lower means fewer extra walls, but gaps can be left.
How it works
When an area keeps narrowing, like the tip of a star or the point of a letter “V”, there comes a spot where two walls no longer fit and only one does. Arachne makes that change gradually: one wall narrows while the other widens until they merge, and it can add short walls in the center so nothing is left empty.
If the wedge is wider than this angle, there's no transition and the center is left without a wall. Raising it makes more wedges get filled in the center. Lowering it cuts the number and length of those center walls, but can leave gaps or too much plastic. It goes from 1° to 59°.
When to change it
- You'll almost never need to change it; 10° works well.
- A star or logo with thin points that end up with a gap in the middle: raise it to 20 or 30°.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 10 | Defaultdefault |
| 30 | Fills more wedge-shaped tips |
| 1 | Almost no center walls; possible gaps |
Watch out for
- It only does anything with the Arachne wall generator.

What Bambu Studio says
When to create transitions between even and odd numbers of walls. A wedge shape with an angle greater than this setting will not have transitions and no walls will be printed in the center to fill the remaining space. Reducing this setting reduces the number and length of these center walls, but may leave gaps or overextrude
