Flush volumetric speed
How much plastic per second comes out when purging on a color change. At 0, the filament's max volumetric speed.
How it works
The purge pushes the new filament to clear the old one. At 0 (PLA Basic), it runs as fast as the filament melts: the “Max volumetric speed” (21 mm³/s). Slower takes longer but carries the old color out better.
When to change it
- Almost always: 0.
- Purges that leave streaks of the previous color: try a lower value.
Typical values
| Value | What for |
|---|---|
| 0 | PLA Basic: the maxdefault |
Watch out for
- It only matters with several filaments (on the A1, with the AMS lite).

Using another slicer? Look for the idea, not the name: in Orca Slicer almost everything has the same name; in PrusaSlicer or Cura it may be called something else, or not exist.
